At HAARAN, our work is centered on advancing better lives of people with disabilities and vulnerable populations through Health and Rehabilitation, Inclusive Education, Economic Empowerment, Governance & Right.  HAARAN works and has legal presence in Kenya, Somalia and United States of America where it was founded in the year 2008. HAARAN work on a wide range of innovative projects to improve the lives of disable and vulnerable populations in Horn of Africa, primarily in underserved and highly marginalized areas whose inhabitants are extremely poor.  In line with CRPD goals, HAARAN believes in creating an inclusive society for all through social integration, social inclusion, social cohesion and social participation.  To enhance our vision for an inclusive society we campaign to change attitudes and improve services through our inclusive development model. We Believe that if the Person with Disability (PWDs) and other marginalized persons are Empowered with Life Skills, they are able to make the right choices through Situational Analysis, Critical Thinking and making Informed Decisions thereby living a better and reducing their vulnerability.

Our Target Group:

HAARAN’s focus is on the socio-economically disadvantaged groups of PWD’s, women, youth and children. Keeping in view the overall socio-cultural fabric of the society and the overall power imbalances and discriminations that exist at all levels. HAARAN focuses on the inclusion of minorities and special groups such as widows, physically impaired persons and elderly people.
